You may have noticed a trend that has been developing for quite some time our continual commitment to expanding our leadership, increasing access to patient care and sharing our mission with dentists nationwide. You may have noticed a trend that has been developing for quite some time – our continual commitment to expanding our leadership, increasing access to patient care and sharing our mission with dentists nationwide. At Heartland, we believe if you're not growing, you're not succeeding, and we've taken that quite literally.
So far, 2011 has been another amazing year for Heartland's advancement. Thanks to enhanced growth strategies utilized by our exceptional recruiting and development teams, as well as new marketing initiatives, more new practices are sure to follow.
In April, we reached the 300th office milestone and continued forward, adding numerous affiliations and startups since. We are on pace to open an outstanding 16 new offices before the year concludes. In 2012, our objective is to build 20 new offices from the ground up!
Our success in establishing new offices has much to do with our strategic criteria for selecting locations and the steps we take. For example, when considering the best areas to open an office, several aspects play a role, such as patient access to dentists and other population demographics.
To find which areas best match our criteria, our focused marketing and development teams are using these demographics to advance in one of our main areas of attention – identifying areas where patient need is the highest. Doing what's right for our patients is a core value of Heartland, so it's important that we use these innovative resources we now possess to continue cultivating successful new practices, but more importantly, to provide top-quality, accessible care to patients.
Besides our focus on scratch starts, our affiliation efforts have also been quite remarkable. In fact, nearly 60 offices will be affiliating with Heartland just this year. Like our startup strategy, we are constantly implementing and refining marketing initiatives, which communicate the benefits of affiliating with Heartland, to continually attract established practices.
I see great things on the horizon for Heartland. We have grown and adapted to meet ever-changing needs, and as we encounter new challenges, our resolve to become the leader in dentistry will only grow stronger. I say bring on 2012!
