A Proper Welcome
An introduction to the Heartland Dental family
When a dentist or team member affiliates with Heartland Dental, they are stepping into much more than just a new job. They're becoming a part of a family, a network of people who work together and support each other with the same goals in mind. Whether they are transitioning from private practice, are a recent college graduate or are simply making a change and starting a new career, Heartland Dental wants to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible. So to help them feel right at home, Heartland Dental welcomes them to the family with New Supported Dentist Integration.

This event gives new team members and affiliated doctors a thorough introduction to the culture and values of the offices supported by Heartland Dental. Held twice a month at The Institute at Heartland Dental, teams are brought together at Home Office in Effingham, Illinois, the small town where it all started 17 years ago. Throughout the orientation, team members gain a deeper understanding of why Heartland Dental exists, along with an explanation of the numerous systems that have been built to provide world-class support to our affiliated dental offices.
The event offers valuable tools and information for all affiliated dentists and their teams, whether they are from a brand new dental office or an affiliate of an existing practice. Company leaders introduce themselves and their journey with Heartland Dental, as well as the company’s history, philosophy and goals. Because it is hosted at Home Office, team members also have the chance to see firsthand the non-clinical, business support services offered by Heartland Dental. During a guided tour through each department, team members meet with the professionals who provide support to their dental practices every day, seeing in person the resources available to help them succeed.
"I know that I'm in the right place, and that sense was reinforced by the passion and excitement that was expressed by the company's leaders and support team. Being introduced to Heartland Dental as a whole and meeting the individuals who support my non-clinical needs face to face was a great experience," said Matthew Kincaid, DDS, practicing dentist at Family Dental Care of Owasso in Owasso, Oklahoma.
In addition to the warm welcome given by the people at Home Office, newly affiliated dentists and team members begin to build lasting relationships with dentists and team members from all over the country.
"The networking opportunities offered through Heartland Dental are invaluable to me," said Dr. Kincaid. "Being able to kick start some of these relationships right away has made the transition that much easier. I look forward to working with my new colleagues in the years to come!"
