Renowned course offers valuable skills and leadership insights to Heartland Dental affiliated dentists

"Bell Leadership gave me so much insight on my own strengths and weaknesses as a leader, some that I didn’t even realize I had. I walked away feeling energized, confident, and ready to put my new skills into action."

Heartland Dental is built upon a community of leaders. Through continuing education, we give our affiliated dentists and team members the opportunity to strengthen their skills in order to best serve their patients and lead their offices. One of the most recognized and successful training programs we offer is Bell Leadership. Provided through the Bell Leadership Institute, these seminars have helped thousands of professionals become masters in leadership and communication.

The Bell Leadership Institute was founded in 1972 by Dr. Gerald D. Bell in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Institute offers a variety of programs which have been used by over 500,000 leaders in more than 4,700 organizations in over 30 countries. The courses are built upon Dr. Bell’s Four Laws of Leadership, and are designed to help individuals develop effective leadership skills that benefit them both personally and professionally. Heartland Dental has its very own certified Bell Leadership instructors who administer the courses several times throughout the year.

In the first course, Achievers I, participants are asked to complete the Bell Personality Profile before they attend. These results are combined with 10 to 15 evaluations from friends, family members and co-workers chosen by the participant. The completed Profile provides participants with significant information on how they perceive themselves compared to how others perceive them. A step-by-step action plan is then created for each participant to build upon his or her Core Competencies. In other words, dentists and team members can see their teamwork skills and drawbacks and learn ways to put their strengths to good use in the dental office. A second-step training course, Achievers II, is also offered for graduates of Achievers I. This program builds upon the concepts learned in the first training, providing a deeper understanding of core leadership skills.

Bell Leadership

Bell Leadership has been described as life changing by many people who have completed the courses. The powerful seminars give individuals the tools they need to understand their own leadership style, as well as the leadership styles of others. Beneficial for dentists and team members alike, Bell Leadership helps participants build their own unique leadership skillset, and can help improve the flow of communication in the dental office.

“Bell Leadership gave me so much insight on my own strengths and weaknesses as a leader, some that I didn’t even realize I had,” said Catharine Goodson, DDS, practicing dentist at Falcon Point Dental Group in Katy, Texas.

"I walked away feeling energized, confident, and ready to put my new skills into action."

Through the evaluations and trainings offered through Bell Leadership, Heartland Dental’s affiliated dentists and team members are able to develop the skills they need to be outstanding leaders, both in their practices and in their personal lives.
